The 15th annual Union County Colorfest Biathlon
www.colorfestbiathlon.com will be hosted again this year on the
Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center grounds on October 10th.
Race Director Chris Wells has added an additional race, the Colorfest 7K
Run, to bring a larger group of participants and tourists to the area.
Each year, the Biathlon has brought hundreds of participants and their
families to our community.
Many have expressed their surprise at all the different events taking
place, from the Choate Pumpkin Patch displays to home tours to wine trail
festivals. Running and riding a bike may not be your hobby, but the people
who travel hundreds of miles to Union County for this unique event have
made a significant impact on community tourism, and have spread the word
to their friends and neighbors.
Chris will be looking for additional race volunteers before the events.
If you have the opportunity, e mail him at
cwells63@yahoo.com or
chriswells@colorfestbiathlon.com and offer to lend a hand!
